LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Clark County and the Arbor Day Foundation are giving away trees as part of their Community Canopy Project.
In a news release, officials announced that Clark County would distribute 2,300 trees, contributing to the “urban forest” initiative launched in 2024. The program aims to target areas most vulnerable to the urban heat island effect. Those ZIP codes include 89014, 89121, 89119, 89104, 89110, 89103, 89169, 89106, 89102, 89030, 89101 and 89142.
Residents in those ZIP codes can claim a tree by going to the Arbor Day Foundation’s website .
