PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A woman was arrested in Porterville Thursday for allegedly using someone else's information to open credit and bank accounts, police said.
Police arrested 29-year-old Sara Andrade on Oct. 2 after detectives were able to identify her as a suspect in identity theft.
Earlier this year, on Jan. 27, officers contacted a woman who reported being a victim of identity theft.
Detectives began the investigation, serving multiple financial institutions with search warrants to obtain records.
They identified Andrade as the suspect. Detectives responded to her last known residence and discovered she no longer lived there.
As they continued the investigation, they determined she was staying at a home in the 300 block of South Page Street in Porterville.
