Women found dead in vehicle outside old sheriff's headquarters in Visalia

VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A homicide investigation is underway in Visalia after a woman was found dead in a vehicle Friday night.

The Visalia Police Department says that at approximately 8 p.m., officers were dispatched to the old Tulare County Sheriff's Office headquarters at 2404 West Burrel Ave. for a report of a medical emergency under suspicious circumstances.

When officers arrived, officials say they found an unresponsive woman inside a vehicle. CPR was performed, but she was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

Officials add that police detained a man who was also at the scene.
