The Nanaimo RCMP is asking the public to help locate 36-year-old Joshua Seibel, wanted for one count of aggravated assault.

Mounties say the charge against Seibel stems from April 14 when an individual was stabbed in the Port Place Mall parking lot.

“The investigation identified Seibel as allegedly being responsible,” says a release from Nanaimo RCMP on Friday.

“His whereabouts are unknown and therefore a warrant has been issued for his arrest.”

Seibel is described as a 36-year-old Caucasian man, standing five feet 10 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Police say he has no fixed address.
