The Oregon high school football season has hit October, and this week's schedule includes Springfield hosting crosstown rival Thurston in The Register-Guard's Game of the Week .

Thurston sits atop the conference standings and is coming off a 26-14 home win over Roseburg.

Springfield will look to build on last week's thrilling 35-34 road win over North Eugene.
