PORTLAND, Ore. — Unionized health care workers at Oregon and southwest Washington Kaiser Permanente facilities said that they will strike at all regional facilities, starting Oct. 14, unless a deal is reached.

The Oregon Federation of Nurses and Health Professionals said that the strike will last no more than five days; the strike will not go forward if a tentative agreement is reached with Kaiser.

The strike would involve registered nurses; professionals, which include social workers, cancer counselors, audiologists, physical therapists and mental health therapists; and lab professionals walking out at clinics across both states, according to the union.
