(KBTX) - Lexington running back Jurian Moore was taken from Caldwell’s Hornet Field in a helicopter ambulance after taking a hit to the head during Friday’s game against Caldwell.

The non-district game ended as a no-contest with nine minutes left in the third quarter and the game tied at 28.

According to witnesses at the game, Moore took a knee to the back of his head while he was tackled. Moore was treated on the ground with little movement for approximately 10 minutes before he was removed from the field on a stretcher.

He was in and out of consciousness while he was treated on the field, according to witnesses near the situation.

Moore was transported to Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, according to head coach Kirk Muhl.
