HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Three years after a pregnant woman was killed along an Oahu freeway, her husband will soon go on trial and her mother plans to be there.
Natalia Cespedes is the mother of Dana Alotaibi, who was stabbed to death at 27 years old on the H-3 Freeway in 2022 .
Her suspect: her estranged husband, Sgt. Bryant Tejeda-Castillo, 29, an active duty Marine.
Cespedes says she feels sadness every day for the loss of her daughter and the grandchild she didn’t get to meet.
“Lot of pain,” said Cespedes. “I like to go to the cemetery all the time to change the flowers.”
Alotaibi was separated from her husband, and her mother says she was 16 weeks pregnant with her boyfriend.
Cespedes says she was looking to seeing her daughter again and the upcoming baby.
