LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville man was arrested in an ongoing narcotic investigation after police executed a search warrant at his Shawnee home.

Kevin Franklin, 55, is charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a handgun as a convicted felon, drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, using restricted ammo, and tampering with physical evidence.

According to Franklin’s arrest citation, Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) executed a search warrant at his home in the 3400 block of Del Terrace around 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Inside the home, officer found 7.59 ounces of a mixture that’s believed to contain heroin and fentanyl. The substance was found inside a Louis Vuitton bag that also contained Franklin’s mail and other identifying information, police said.
