INDIANAPOLIS - An investigation is underway after two people were injured in a stabbing in downtown Indianapolis Saturday morning.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just after 12:30 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of W. Washington Street on the report of a person shot.

When officers arrived on scene, they located two victims with stab wounds. One was reported to be in critical condition, while the other was "awake and breathing," according to police.

No other information was released. The incident remains under investigation.
