From city and county officials to developers, construction companies, business owners and others, the Developer Day on Thursday at Harbor View Marina, with this year’s focus on the city of Ludington, was a time of enrichment, networking and highlighting the many assets Ludington offers and potential development opportunities.

The event, geared toward developers interested in housing development, mixed use and some commercial use, also emphasized the city’s new Unified Development Ordinance, which recently was awarded the 2025 Outstanding Best Practice Planning Award by the Michigan Association of Planning.

After a welcome and introduction by Ludington Mayor Mark Barnett, people in attendance were invited to introduce themselves.
