A new yellow weather warning has been issued in the north-east by the Met Office as Storm Amy continues to batter Scotland.

The first named storm of the season has so far brought major travel disruption to Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire , with rail services cancelled and lines shut due to strong winds.

As well, around 62,000 people across Scotland have been left without power, while an amber warning remains in place along the Buchan coast on Saturday.

Now, forecasters have warned of further disruption on Sunday, October 5, with a new yellow warning covering the entirety of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, as well as the east coast and part of Moray.
