An unlucky Aberdeen driver has had their windscreen smashed by a flying bed as Storm Amy brought strong winds and heavy rain to the north-east .

The white Mercedes C Class, estimated to cost around £30,000, was parked behind some high rise flats in Torry when it was struck by the flying bed frame.

Video footage taken at Brimond Court on October 3 shows the furniture being flung around the car park in strong gusts of wind at the peak of the storm before heading towards the plush car and landing on the front mirror.

Shocking images taken by a resident following the incident show the shattered glass at the front of the vehicle while the abandoned bed continues to be propelled around the area, reports the Daily Record .
