CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A Havelock man is being charged with assaulting a disabled family member.

On Thursday, the Craven County Sheriff’s Office responded to Paradise Circle in Havelock for a disturbance.

The investigation showed 29-year-old Benjamin Wade Dixon of Paradise Circle assaulted a bedridden family member multiple times.

Dixon was charged with assault on an individual with disabilities and placed in the Craven County Confinement Facility.
