Pole Chandrashekar, 27, a student from LB Nagar area of Hyderabad, was shot dead Friday night while working at a fuel station in Denton, Texas. Chandrashekar’s family received the news on Saturday afternoon.

Chandrashekar was on an F1 visa in the US. “He completed his Master’s degree in dental surgery in the US and was looking for a job for the past six months. He was working at the gas station part-time,” his brother Damodar said.

“Our father passed away four years ago. Our mother is heartbroken that she has now lost my brother,” said Damodar.
