WASHINGTON: An Indian student was shot dead in Dallas, US. The deceased was identified as Pole Chandrashekhar (26), a native of Hyderabad. Chandrashekhar was working part-time at a gas station. An unidentified person shot and killed Pole while he was working on Friday night.

Pole Chandrashekhar had completed his graduation in dental surgery in Hyderabad. He came to the US for higher studies in 2023. He also completed his postgraduate degree six months ago. Pole was looking for a permanent job. The family has sought the government's help to bring Pole's body back to India as soon as possible.

BRS MLA Sudhir Reddy and former minister T. Harish Rao visited Pole Chandrashekhar's house in Hyderabad and spoke to the family members. Rao said that the pain felt by the parents when they knew that
