BLACK HAWK COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - An Iowa State Patrol officer was injured Friday night after someone crashed into a patrol vehicle during a chase.

Authorities say 24-year-old Cory Devries of Grundy Center led police on a vehicle pursuit from Grundy County into Black Hawk County.

The chase came to an end when the suspect hit the Iowa State Patrol car in the 1800 block of Highway 63.

The State Patrol officer was taken to the hospital with non-serious injuries.

Devries was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.
