WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn (PIX11) -- Two teen girls were found dead at a Brooklyn subway station early Saturday morning after subway surfing, sources told Nexstar's PIX11 News.
The two girls were pronounced dead at the scene after authorities found them unconscious and unresponsive at the Marcy Ave/Broadway subway station in Williamsburg around 3:10 a.m., sources said.
The girls were unidentified but appeared to be between 13 to 15-years-old, according to sources.
Year to date, at least three people have died subway surfing. The NYPD has also apprehended 114 subway surfers since the beginning of the year, department statistics show.
