WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash. – Six people were injured in a car crash four miles south of Dusty after the driver drove their car off the road and into an embankment.
Washington State Patrol reported the accident and said the crash happened because of distracted driving. Drugs and alcohol were not involved and it is not known if the occupants were wearing seatbelts.
The car, a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica, held all six people and was totaled. They were all between 18 and 21 years old.
Four of the occupants were taken to Pullman Hospital and two were Life Flighted to St. Joseph Medical Center.
The driver was charged for negligent driving.
