TOLEDO, Ohio — A fight broke out between several players during the Waite Indians and Woodward Polar Bears Friday night football game.
The incident happened in the middle of the field at Woodward High School.
When asked about the situation, Woodward's Head Coach Brandon McNeil told WTOL 11, "Everybody is good."
A parent of a Waite football player who was on the field spoke with WTOL 11 and praised local law enforcement, who was already present at the game, for taking swift action.
"Couple of their [Woodward] guys swung at us [Waite.] I was one of several parents helping our players get away," the parent said. "Cops did do a good job getting out there quickly."
Patty Mazur, Executive Director of Communications for Toledo Public Schools (TPS) also spoke with WTOL 11 and said security pe
