ANN ARBOR, Mich. — It took some time for the plane to take off, but Michigan football finally hit cruising altitude.

The 20th-ranked Wolverines won their first game back from the bye, surviving a bumpy liftoff with head coach Sherrone Moore back on the sideline, beating slumping Wisconsin, 24-10, Saturday at Michigan Stadium.

Quarterback Bryce Underwood completed 19 of his 28 passes for a career-high 270 yards and a touchdown, a stat line that could have been better had it not been for three drops from his receivers.
