LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two women are dead after a shooting in Louisville Sunday morning.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting on E Southland Blvd in South Louisville, near the airport. It happened at around 4:15 a.m. Saturday at the Americana Apartments.

Despite life saving efforts, EMS pronounced both women dead at the scene.

As of right now, LMPD does not know how old the women are. Officers tried life saving measures, but the women were pronounced dead by EMS.

Police don't know what led up to the shooting, and they're still looking for a person of interest.
