PHILADELPHIA – Shohei Ohtani no-hit the Phillies for five innings in his Sept. 16 start at Dodger Stadium.
The Phillies will try to avoid a repeat of that with a different lineup in Game 1 of the best-of-five National League Division Series on Oct. 4 at Citizens Bank Park.
First pitch is at 6:38 p.m., and the game is airing on TBS.
For that Sept. 16 game, which the Phillies did eventually win 9-6, shortstop Trea Turner and third baseman Alec Bohm were on the Injured List, and J.T. Realmuto had a day off (his replacement Rafael Marchan won it with a three-run homer).
Each will be in the lineup against the right-handed Ohtani, making just his 14th start this year as part of his cautious return from his 2023 elbow surgery. It’s also his first-ever postseason pitching assignment.
