A Chattanooga man found unconscious in a parked car at a gas station on Hixson Pike is facing charges after police located unknown pills and powders on him.

Saturday morning around 5:35am, officers with the Chattanooga Police Department responded to a call from the gas station clerk about a person passed out in front of the store who would not wake up, according to an affidavit obtained by Local 3 News.

The doors were unlocked, the vehicle was not running, and no keys were in the ignition. Since the driver did not wake up, an officer opened the door and rubbed his sternum.

Police say Joshua Mclemore, 18, was drooling on himself, had bloodshot eyes, and slurred speech.

Officers found a clear sandwich baggie with an unknown residue on the center console, along with multiple pill bottles
