LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - An area of low pressure continues to spin to our south and that will slowly lift north through our Sunday, bringing increased rain chances.

For many, quiet weather will stick around through the overnight with a few clouds passing by from time to time.

Temperatures will dip back into the upper 60s into Sunday morning as cloud cover continues to build across the region.

Rain chances will gradually increase throughout the day, but for those who may have outdoor plans, the forecast doesn’t looks to be a total washout.

Isolated showers and downpours along with cloud cover will help to keep highs in the upper 80s for our Sunday.

Highs during the afternoon will remain in the upper 80s to near 90 right on through the majority of next week as we see a bit of sunshine
