FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - It was a day with a near record high temperature, and Sunday will be the similar. Overnight, we cool off quickly, settling into the low 60s and upper 50s on Sunday morning. Afternoon temperatures will get back into the mid-to-upper 80s and you should expect plenty of blue sky and sunshine in the afternoon.

This dry and warm weather pattern continues into the start of next week with a mostly sunny day and highs in the mid 80s on Monday, but some changes are coming.

We’re tracking a weather system on Tuesday expected to bring scattered rain showers, maybe a thunderstorm. Places along and north of US 24 are expected to receive about 0.25-0.5 inches of rain. South of US 24, rain totals could be a little higher, perhaps up to 0.75 inches.
