Taylor Swift's new album "The Life of a Showgirl" is flying off the shelves, and now she's set her sights on the box office.
Swift's new movie, The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, is showing only in theaters on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The movie features a new music video for the song "The Fate of Ophelia", lyric videos for songs on the new album, and behind-the-scenes footage.
Several regional theaters, including Goodrich Forum 8, Regal Columbia and Fulton Cinema 8 will be showing the movie.
Miah Sickler, a shift manager at Forum 8, said the theater has seen a lot of business because of the limited showing.
"Ticket sales have been pretty impressive," Sickler said. "It's mostly presales that we're getting."
