SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department said a man was hospitalized after crashing his vehicle into a southwest-side meat market.

Around 9:40 a.m., officers responded to Culebra Super Meat Market #3 off Old Pearsall Road after receiving reports of a vehicle crashing into the building.

SAPD said the driver, identified as of the vehicle drove in front of the meat mark and was asking for medical attention before eventually crashing into the business.

Upon arrival, police say the man resisted arrest and "clearly was not entirely there mentally."

Once officer finally subdued the man, he was taken to a local hospital to be checked out.

SAPD said they are waiting to identify the driver as they determine whether to press charges or not.
