Kalen DeBoer said his Alabama Crimson Tide left some points on the field in the first half of the game against Vanderbilt on Saturday.
“We missed some opportunities at the end of the first quarter,” DeBoer told the Crimson Tide Sports Network at halftime. “We got into their territory. We had some plays we wanted, but we just have to execute better.”
The first Alabama possession resulted in a Ty Simpson interception, the first of the season for the Tide quarterback. Alabama missed a field goal on the second possession.
Simpson, however, led the Tide on a six-play, 78-yard drive in 1:11 at the end of the half to tie the game at 14 when he hit Germie Bernard on a 27-yard touchdown with 17 seconds left.
