Kadyn Proctor was the talk of Alabama football after last week’s catch and run against Georgia.
OK, technically it was a run because it was a backward lateral.
On Saturday, when the Tide needed a first down with 5:43 left and facing a third and 1 on the Vanderbilt 20, Kalen DeBoer called Proctor’s number again.
The offensive lineman took the hand off from Ty Simpson and rumbled for 2 yards and a first down.
The Tide finished the drive with a 30-yard Conor Talty field goal, capping a 16-play, 69-yard drive that lasted 8:30.
Alabama led 23-14 as a result.
Proctor has been a story line all week because of his agility and the unique play call.
Against Georgia, the 6-foot-7, 359-pound Proctor secured the catch and rumbled for 11 yards and the first down against Georgia.
