Illinois Governor JB Pritzker (D) posted a lengthy message on social media Saturday, claiming the Department of War gave him an early morning ultimatum to either deploy the state’s National Guard to Chicago or President Trump will federalize the guard. The Illinois governor refused to comply with the Pentagon’s request. The White House hasn’t responded to NBC News’ request for comment.
