COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Texas A&M University broke ground on its “Aplin Center” Friday morning, honoring class of ‘80 Aggie and Buc-ee’s CEO Arch “Beaver” Aplin. In the process, officials say it’s going to break some records.

Guest speakers at the groundbreaking ceremony included Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Texas A&M University System Chancellor Glenn Hegar, and the guest of honor himself.

“There’s just going to be so many opportunities and it’s just going to be a different type of learning,” Aplin boasted.
