The Pittsburgh Steelers sent a scout to watch Penn State against UCLA on Saturday, according to Ryan Fowler. UCLA’s Nico Iamaleava is also expected to be on NFL radars, but his start to the year has likely cooled any NFL intentions.

Penn State fell 42-37 to the now 1-4 Bruins, but Allar still had moments where he stood out in a positive way. Allar famished 19 of 26 for 200 yards with two touchdowns and added 78 yards rushing on 11 rushes.

Still, Allar’s performance has been up-and-down throughout the season and he has not crystallized himself as a first-round quarterback through Penn State’s first five games. The Nittany Lions sit at 3-2.
