LINCOLN, Neb. (WILX) - Michigan State couldn’t get it done on the road, as the Spartans fell 38-27 to Nebraska.
The Cornhuskers got on the board first as Emmett Johnson punched in a 2-yard touchdown run to give Nebraska a 7-0 lead. Michigan State was forced to punt on its next possesion and Ryan Eckley had his punt blocked by Jamir Conn, and Carter Nelson scored the touchdown to give the Cornhuskers a 14-0 lead.
In the second quarter Aidan Chiles was hurt when he got sacked, and Alessio Milivojevic came in and threw his first career touchdown to Jack Velling to cut the deficit in half.
Later in the half, Chiles had his pass intercepted by DeShon Singleton, but Nebraska couldn’t capitalize, as MSU’s Jalen Thompson sacked Dylan Raiola on fourth down to turn it back over on downs.
