LINCOLN, Neb. — Michigan State football had every chance to beat Nebraska in Week 6 at Memorial Stadium, but several special teams mistakes proved too costly in a 38-27 loss.

The Spartans went down big early and fought their way back to take a 21-14 in the third quarter, but after scoring 21 unanswered points, Jonathan Smith's team crumbled down the stretch.
