NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — Niagara Falls Police closed an intersection for roughly three hours after a pedestrian was struck Saturday morning.
The incident happened around 11:45 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Niagara Falls Boulevard and 66th Street/Factory Outlet Boulevard. That's where police said a 2013 Buick Lacrosse, driven by a 41-year-old Buffalo man, was making a left hand turn off Factory Outlet Boulevard when it struck a pedestrian heading southbound in the crosswalk.
The pedestrian — identified as a 66-year-old man — "appeared to have head and rib injuries and was taken to ECMC by ambulance," police said, adding that the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation, led by the Niagara Falls Police Department
