Capitol Police announced the arrests on Oct. 2 and Oct. 3. Both suspects are facing murder charges, and investigators expect more charges to follow.

“This is still an open investigation,” a Capitol Police spokesperson said in a statement. “We anticipate filing additional charges against these two subjects as the investigation continues.”

Humaid, a Germantown High School student, was fatally shot while walking home with friends.
