Missouri Southern's blocked Fort Hays State's punt attempt with 19 seconds left in the game but Peyton McKee was flagged with a personal foul for leaping the shield in front of the Tigers' punter.

The blocked kick would've potentially been returned for a touchdown or at least set the Lions up inside the redzone to try and tie the game. Instead, the 21st-ranked Tigers got a fresh set of downs and ran out the clock to seal a 28-21 win on the road in Joplin. ×
