LEWISTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) -- A local health system is planning to show their appreciation to local veterans ahead of Veterans Day.

Geisinger will host drive-through veteran appreciation dinners on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 12 locations in the health system, including in Lewistown and Mifflintown.

The dinners are for U.S. military veterans and a guest and are provided at no cost to participants.

Last year's event served up 2,500 meals.

Servings are limited, Geisinger says, and veterans can make reservations for themselves and a guest here or by calling 570-293-7200. Deadline is Thursday, Oct. 30.
