The former partner of one-time federal Labor leader Mark Latham, Nathalie Matthews, has been arrested at Sydney airport on charges relating to revenge porn.

The 38-year-old was taken into custody early on Sunday morning following an international flight on an outstanding arrest warrant.

She was taken to Mascot Police Station and charged with access/modify restricted data held in computer, intentionally record intimate image without consent, and intentionally distribute intimate image without consent.

Matthews will face Parramatta Local Court on Monday.
