PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — A dance for middle schoolers being held at South Paulding High School came to an abrupt halt Saturday night. Authorities said they received a call about a gun on campus and someone being hurt, but Sheriff Ashley Henson said those claims were unfounded.
“We have cleared this school; no one is injured. No one has been shot. So, we still got our deputies out here scouring the grounds to make sure that nothing else is going on," the sheriff said in a Facebook live video.
Henson shared that a booster club put together a middle school dance at South Pauling High, where students from Scoggins Middle, Austin Middle and South Paulding Middle attended.
