ATLANTA — School buses are crashing at an eye-raising rate in Georgia. The Department of Public Safety reports that there have been well over 200 crashes since August 1st, marking the effective start of the state's school year. While many of these wrecks were minor - such as mirrors being hit or a parking lot scratch - nearly 100 of those crashes involved drivers in other vehicles being at fault.

Given the precious loads on school buses and the potential for significant carnage in a crash with those behemoths, Georgia drivers should exercise far more caution.
