SALISBURY — A Salisbury man has been arrested after police say that he broke into a woman’s home and stabbed her on Tuesday.

Andreon Kerns, 25, was arrested on Thursday and charged with felony breaking and entering to terrorize or injure, a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence, misdemeanor assault on a female and misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon, according to a spokesperson with the Salisbury Police Department.

According to police reports, Kerns entered the home of a woman he had previously been in a relationship with at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The home was located in the 1500 block of North Ellis Street. Kerns allegedly then punched the woman in the face before grabbing a knife from the kitchen and stabbing her with it.
