Don Aines

Submitted

Don Aines spent four decades as a newspaper and radio reporter in the tri-state areas of Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia where he sought out the heinous, humorous and unusual in his reporting.

As the son of a WWII, Korean and Vietnam War army officer, Aines became quite the history buff, prompting him to publish his book “Strange and Obscure Stories of World War II.” As we reflect on this 80th anniversary of the end of that conflict in 1945, you’ll hear tales of courage, daring and downright stupidity, featuring a fascinating cast of characters, sure to challenge the imaginations of not only Hollywood scriptwriters but ours as well.
