Del Boy's iconic cocktail bar from Only Fools and Horses has been sold for an astonishing £22,000. The cream-coloured bar, a central feature in the Trotters' Peckham flat throughout much of the BBC sitcom, was auctioned off at Fielding's Auctioneers in Stourbridge last week.
Initially estimated to fetch between £500 and £600, even experienced auctioneers were taken aback as bids poured in from all over the country. The auction turned into a frenzied contest involving approximately 200 bidders, with the price quickly surpassing £10,000 and continuing to rise.
When the hammer finally fell, the final sale price was a staggering £22,720 - an impressive 44 times its anticipated value. Antiques Roadshow star and auctioneer Will Farmer confessed he would be "living down" his initial estimate
