KINGMAN, AZ (AZFamily) — A 57-year-old Las Vegas woman was found dead in a cardboard box dumped in the desert near Kingman early last month.

Someone called the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office on Sept. 5 after spotting a suspicious package in a wash on their property, near Highway 93.

The victim in this case has been identified as Carolyn Bosher, and her family said she had two adult sons with her ex-husband.

Even though this murder happened last month, authorities are just now alerting the public, and Bosher’s sister said she first heard about it through the news. She was crying while sharing just how shocking it’s been to learn the gruesome details.

“I’m in disbelief. I don’t want to believe that it’s her,” said Suzanne Staton.
