Greens leader Larissa Waters has sparked the ire of Labor and the Coalition after she linked the horrific Manchester synagogue attack to Israel’s military offensive in Gaza and called on the government to expel Israeli’s ambassador to Australia.

British police are continuing to question four people arrested on suspicion of terror offences after a deadly attack at a Manchester synagogue on Thursday claimed the lives of two people.

Police shot dead the assailant, Jihad Al-Shamie, 35, a British man of Syrian descent who counter terrorism authorities say may have been inspired by extremist Islamist ideology.
