Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Sunday arrested two interstate fraudsters in Bhubaneswar for allegedly duping people by posing as the Chairperson of the National Women Empowerment Commission.

The accused, identified as Chaudhary Rikka Saini and Maninder Singh, both hailing from Haryana, were apprehended from the Maitri Vihar area of the city, informed DCP Jagmohan Meena at a press conference.

According to police, the duo arrived in Bhubaneswar on October 3 and checked into a hotel. They reportedly devised a plan to cheat individuals under the guise of holding high-ranking positions in a national commission.

In a bid to appear authentic, the accused even submitted a fake programme letter to the Commissionerate Police, seeking a security escort for their fake official visit. Ho
