ACWORTH – On an epic offensive night, Allatoona’s critical defensive stops made the difference in an entertaining 49-35 win over Woodland at Cobb EMC/Buccaneer Stadium on Friday.

Allatoona senior running back Ethan Corpus rushed for 331 yards and five touchdowns on 22 carries on a night of stars on offense for both teams. His counterpart for Woodland, Solomon James, had 222 yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries, causing constant defensive headaches for the Buccaneers (3-4 overall, 2-1 Region 7AAAA).

Allatoona coach Brad Smith said he challenged his defense, and the Bucs took it to heart in the second half.
