MARIETTA -- Christian Holmes led a strong day for Mount Paran Christian’s running game, as he rushed for 130 yards in the 42-12 victory over Walker on Friday at Robertson Field.

The Eagles (4-3, 1-1 Region 5A Division I) used eight different ball-carriers in the game, totaling 41 carries for 307 yards and three rushing touchdowns on the ground.

“It was definitely important,” Mount Paran coach Connie Arnold said. “For Christian Holmes to come out the way he did, I was super proud of his effort tonight.”

Alongside Holmes, Easton George added 74 yards on six carries with one touchdown. Eli Hewatt rushed for another 56, with three other players also recording double-digit rushing yards.
